Jay Wright, President
Jay founded Vertical Development in 1983 as a programming firm specializing in custom accounting and business inventory software systems. Sensing a need among manufacturers for catalog management software, he directed the focus of the company to that field, developing database publishing solutions to help distributors and manufacturers manage their parts database.

With over 20 years of management experience, Jay is responsible for directing the technology within the Vertical Development programming groups. Under his guidance, Vertical Development has grown from a systems vendor for a small group of companies, to the industry's most recognized catalog system vendor with the greatest market share. His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Computer Science from Iowa State University.

Ronald Garand, Vice President
Ron is responsible for account service and sales. He has been involved in the aftermarket since 1974, and his extensive experience in database development and catalog management was gained first-hand while working for such industry leaders as Fel-Pro, Chicago Rawhide and Wagner Brake. Ron's skill in adapting content management systems to what our customers need and his attention to ever-changing industry requirements are valuable assets put to use with each company we serve.

Joanne Scripp, Director of Operations
Joanne puts her 20 years of experience in customer service and operations to work everyday, streamlining the flow of data between customers and programmers and making sure projects stay on track. She is responsible for developing the data requirements on each project, collecting the data, and then validating the integrity and mapping of the supplied data.

Joe Shiles, Senior Product Manager
Joe is a veteran of the aftermarket, gaining over 30 years of experience in catalog and product management at such key companies as BWD Automotive and Filko Automotive Products. Joe's experience gives him an innate understanding of our customers' needs, and has resulted in processes and procedures to improve data accuracy. His specialty is converting and mapping our customers' data to meet the latest industry requirements.

Grant Alperstein, Romy Sinha, and Terry Yaconi - Lead Programming Staff
As lead programmers, Grant, Romy and Terry manage each job from its initial design to delivery. They assure that your data is collected, your project requirements are being met, your system is installed and your staff is trained in using the system to its fullest advantage.
